• The agreement provides for the implementation of deployable energy systems to power non-interconnected local microgrids, based on resilient solutions that hybridise renewable energy sources, storage and back-up solutions.

Madrid, 26 th June 2025- AMPER, as the successful bidder of the contract signed by SERCOBE (Spanish Association of Capital Goods Manufacturers), will participate in the Project to Improve Access to Electricity in Guinea (PAAEG) of the Ministry of Energy, Hydraulics and Hydrocarbons (MEHH), coordinated by the Guinean Agency for Rural Electrification (AGER), a body under the MEHH.

With an initial contract of €9 million and a completion period of 18 months, AMPER will be responsible for the deployment of compact, autonomous and multimodal energy solutions, with the aim of bringing electricity to non-interconnected rural areas of Guinea.

This pilot project, contracted under an EPC+F scheme, will focus on the rural electrification of six localities in Guinea Conakry, covering both renewable generation and the implementation of electricity distribution microgrids. To this end, SERCOBE will allocate 3 million euros to local companies for the implementation of these microgrids, promoting local economic development. A future extension of the project is foreseen to cover up to 230 localities.

AMPER’s proposal is based on the installation of six deployable energy systems of 100KW each, designed to offer autonomy, resilience and energy sustainability, configured in a modular and efficient way. Each system will comprise:

  •  A 150KW photovoltaic generator composed of two containers: one 20ft (107 kWp) and one 10ft (46 kWp), equipped with deployable and pre-assembled solar panels.
  • A BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) module consisting of a 20-foot container, which will integrate the power electronics and the energy storage system using lithium-ferrophosphate (LFP) batteries.

  • An intelligent automation and energy control system MASTER EMS (Energy Management System), developed by Amper after more than 40 years of experience in energy hybridisation solutions for critical infrastructures, which is responsible for the hybridisation of sources and the real-time energy balance of the entire solution.

  • A 150/165 KVA back-up diesel generator set for backup or emergency situations.

‘Our Deployable System is a DUAL (Military & Civilian) solution designed both to transform living conditions in rural environments, providing power to homes, health centres, schools and businesses, and to support military operations where the availability of reliable power is increasingly critical,’ said Manuel de Oliveira, CCO of the Amper Group. ‘It is a proposal that reflects our commitment to sustainability, technological development and support for the most disadvantaged areas while meeting the strategic requirements of our armed forces,’ he added.

AMPER’s technology offers key advantages such as:

DUAL, mobile and compact system: The solution is designed in containers, which allows its rapid transport by road, ship or train, facilitating its deployment in any location.

Prefabricated and quick deployment solution: Guarantees mobility and agile commissioning, allowing the photovoltaic panels to be deployed or stored easily and efficiently, regardless weather conditions.

Modular and scalable: The modular design of the system allows the amount of energy to be supplied at each location to be adapted according to specific needs, adding the necessary modules to cover the total load required.

Easy and quick deployment: Once the containers are unloaded, the photovoltaic modules are easily deployed on any surface thanks to their wheels, and the containers are interconnected with the supplied cabling. The installation is adaptable to various terrains and resistant to extreme conditions.

No civil works required: It eliminates the need for previous works and building permits, which significantly speeds up the implementation time.

Renewable and sustainable energy: The system generates clean and renewable energy, reducing CO2 emissions and contributing to environmental protection.

Multimodal technology: It combines solar photovoltaic energy as the main source, a battery storage system for continuous supply (even at night) and a back-up diesel genset to ensure power availability at all times.

Operational versatility: The solution can operate in isolation as a microgrid or connect to an existing power grid, and includes monitoring and fault detection for all power sources.

High operational efficiency: Offers energy storage and distribution with minimal losses.

Quality energy supply: The set of subsystems operates as an intelligent microgrid to generate, store and supply high quality energy, guaranteeing a dynamic, stable system with high availability, all managed by our MASTER EMS (Energy Management System), which incorporates the experience of more than 40 years developing Energy Security and Management solutions for critical infrastructures.

Extended electronic protection: The system has extensive protections for the photovoltaic modules against overheating, short circuits and polarity reversal, and protection against reverse currents.

This project reinforces AMPER and SERCOBE’s commitment to sustainable development and equitable access to energy, promoting a more prosperous future for rural and isolated communities while actively contributing to the fight against climate change.
