Madrid, 7 th July 2025- Amper has been awarded the contract for the ‘Intelligent Video Surveillance System in Private Cloud’ project by the Ministry of the Interior of Peru, through its Executing Unit Peru Seguro 2025.
The main objective of the contract, valued at 37,077,777 Soles, approximately 9 million euros, is to enhance the operational capacity of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) through the implementation of an advanced platform based on artificial intelligence. This solution will centralise and manage nearly 3,000 video surveillance cameras distributed in 70 Peruvian municipalities, including both municipal cameras and the PNP’s own cameras. The initial focus will be on the areas of the country with the highest crime rates.
This project is a crucial initiative for crime prevention in particularly vulnerable areas and seeks to substantially strengthen the logistical and intervention capacity of police forces. The implementation of this initial phase lays the groundwork for a possible massive nationwide expansion, setting a precedent in the use of cutting-edge technology for citizen security in Peru.
‘We are immensely proud to have been selected by the Peruvian Ministry of Interior for a project of this magnitude,’ said Manuel de Oliveira, CCO of Amper Group. “This award not only validates our expertise and leadership in smart security solutions, but also reinforces our commitment to the development of critical infrastructures that positively impact the quality of life of citizens. We hope that this first phase will be the beginning of a long and successful collaboration with the Peruvian government on this project”.
This is Amper’s first contract for the security sector in Peru using artificial intelligence, in line with the growth foreseen in the second half of the 2023-2026 Strategic and Transformation Plan for its Defence, Security and Communications Business Unit.
