Madrid, January 29, 2026Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS), the air navigation service provider of Saudi Arabia, has awarded AMPER a contract for the acquisition of three portable units of the ULISES V6000i communications system.

This initial acquisition will enable the evaluation of the system’s performance in real operational scenarios, both in air traffic control centers and control towers, with the aim of assessing its future deployment as a backup and service continuity solution within SANS infrastructure.

ULISES V6000i is Amper’s native full IP Voice Communication System (VCS), designed in compliance with EUROCAE ED-136, ED-137B/C and ED-138 standards, ensuring interoperability with next-generation air-ground and ground-ground radio communication systems. The system stands out for its extremely high availability, thanks to a fail-safe architecture with no single point of failure and comprehensive hardware and software redundancy mechanisms.

Another key differentiator is its portable format, which integrates all the functionalities of a complete VCS into a lightweight device. This capability enables air traffic controllers to maintain critical communications with aircraft and other control centers in contingency situations or during evacuation of the control position, ensuring uninterrupted operational continuity.

The system incorporates advanced multi-frequency and multi-site radio management functions, automatic selection of the best transmitter and receiver (Best Transmitter Selection and Best Signal Selection), as well as radio and telephony communications recording. In addition, its intuitive and customizable user interface facilitates rapid adoption by controllers.

Thanks to these capabilities, ULISES V6000i positions itself as the ideal backup and last-resort voice solution for air traffic environments, providing resilience, flexibility and security under any operational scenario.

This award forms part of Grupo Amper’s internationalization strategy, strengthening its presence in this region and in more than 20 countries worldwide, and consolidating its position as a global provider of technological solutions for Defense and National Security.
