Madrid, 20th October 2025-Amper has once again been selected to carry out a strategic technological upgrade at Mexico City’s Command and Control centres, thereby strengthening public safety and the capital’s operational capacity. This key initiative focuses on modernising the ‘Ciudad Segura’ video surveillance system.

The contract includes a comprehensive renovation of the infrastructure, covering servers, switching matrices and software platforms. The most notable upgrade is the implementation of the latest version of the GEMYC-D system, Amper’s proprietary solution that ensures advanced communications management and a more efficient response to emergencies and critical situations.

Contribution to Mexico’s national security and international events

The Command, Control, Computing, Communications and Citizen Contact Centre (C5) of the Mexico City Government is essential for coordinating security, civil protection, mobility, and community services. This system operates 24 hours a day, using thousands of cameras distributed across the 16 territorial districts to respond to incidents and protect its more than 9 million inhabitants.

Amper’s participation covers the supply, engineering, implementation, commissioning, testing, and warranty of all new systems, providing a comprehensive solution to optimise the response capacity and operational efficiency of control centres.

This project takes on additional relevance by optimising the country’s security infrastructure ahead of the 2026 World Cup, in which Mexico City will be one of the main venues. The investment will directly contribute to ensuring the safety of international fans and visitors.

With this adjudication, Amper consolidates its position as a benchmark in technological solutions for Defence and National Security, actively promoting the digital transformation of critical infrastructures and emergency management in the national and international market
